Able Steel was noted in the recent McGraw-Hill's Southwest Contractor Magazine "Best of" series for 2009.

We provided the miscellaneous steel for Phoenix Children’s Hospital and the Structural Steel for Del Webb Hospital; both of these projects were award winners in their respective categories.

As far as current projects are concerned, we have recently completed the structural steel at the Maricopa Community College Nursing & Exercise Science Remodel & Expansion Project. This job was designed by Smith Group & Paragon Structural Engineers, the General Contractor is McGough Construction Company, Inc. We fabricated and erected 170 tons of steel for this endeavor.

Another current project is the Smokehouse Trail Police Precinct Station in Cave Creek, the design team on this job is Arrington Watkins Architects and once again Paragon Structural Engineers. This time the job came to 117 tons & the General Contractor is Gilbane Building Company.

These projects were fabricated while keeping production going on the Coronado Emissions Control Project for Salt River Project, this is a 2,300 ton order that will erect in 2010.

Just to prove we are flexible, we are also providing 90 tons of fabricated conveyer support steel for Pteris Global USA which is for the new baggage handling systems at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
