Striving to better serve our customers and decrease fabrication time is always the effort here at Able Steel.

Having that as a focal point, and during these slower economic times; we have addressed these issues. How do we become better?

Through studies of Lean Manufacturing and improving upon our Operational Strategies.

Completing our new plant design was the 1st step. We intentionally relocated equipment focusing activity on quality, to reduce throughout time, and increase capacity.  We relocated 6 major tools and over 100 linear feet of conveyor.

Our customers' repeatedly wanted to know if Able Steel can take on larger jobs. Well, the simple answer is 'YES'.

After evaluating numerous manufacturers, we moved onto the next step. Installation of a 2nd larger beam line consisting of a simultaneous multi-axis drills and a miter saw. Installation of a new camber machine, over 350 feet of conveyor, and 100 feet of transfers.

With the use of all this new shop automation and our existing 3D modeling, fabrication of larger material can easily be performed more efficiently and cost effectively.
